    On 4 Dec 2023, me n my wife travelled Premier Class by SQ 403 and further to Melbourne on connecting flight SQ 207 on 5 Dec 2023. We both are senior citizens. My wife is a recent case of knee transplant thus wheel chair passenger and me case of stent implant. To cut it short. Our back rest were non functional and were pushed by 2 cabin crew staff because the lady stewart singlehandedly failed to push to recline position. So each time recliner position had to be changed cabin crew had to be summoned. Imagine in case of an emergency what would be plight of elderly (regular KRIS FLYER) physically incapacitated passengers. Near similar status was on connecting flight from Singapore to Melbourne though my wife’s recliner was manageable. I am a 1971 Indo Pak War Veteran who took part actively in air bombing of Dacca airfield. I have operational experience of more than 3000 flying hours hence ought to know the affect in case of an emergency.
    The incident was e mailed to Singapore Airlines on reaching Melbourne. Despite 10-15 emails, except for prompt parroting acknowledgement nothing concrete has emerged thus far approaching near 3 months of lodging the complaint. Sadly our Return Flight date is approaching and we both are dreadful.
